Children's Ministry

Welcome to the OSL Children's Ministry page!  Kids and parents alike will find great ways to grow in faith!  Check out all of the great activities!

Sunday School

Sunday School is before church, September to May, from 9:30 to 10:15 am.  We use the SparkHouse curriculum to help our children connect and actively engage in innovative ways that grows right along with them in their faith journey.

For more information about enrolling your child in Sunday School or volunteering, please contact the church office.

We also offer different activities that the Sunday school class does as a group, such as going to the movies, putt-putt golf, the annual children's Christmas program, plus many more events.  Check out our Facebook page or the OSL online calendar for upcoming events.

We love to celebrate milestones of our children.  

Baptism

Contact the church office if you are interested in scheduling a date for baptism.

First Communion

This class is recommended for all 5th graders and up.  Please contact Pastor Doug Rothgeb to sign-up for classes.  Parents can determine when their child is ready.

Summer Camp

Interested in attending summer camp at either Ingham Okoboji or Carol Joy Holling?  Both camps offer both overnight camping experiences for all ages, with both single-day camp options or week-long options.  Camping options vary by the age of the camper.

For all activities, if the Council Bluffs Community  Schools cancel or have a late start, we will be closed that day and/or evening.  Please check for updates via email, social media, and local television.
